Responsible Play
Keep the game a game
Ancient Hockey is built for leisure. Here is what the site is, what it is not, and how to make sure your time in the chamber stays enjoyable.
Entertainment only
Ancient Hockey is a social gaming site. There is no real-money wagering of any kind: you cannot deposit money, you cannot buy coins, and nothing you win can be withdrawn, exchanged or redeemed. The coins in Khepri’s Hoard are virtual counters with no cash value, and they exist only to keep score during your visit.
Because nothing of value is at stake, results here say nothing about how you would fare in real-money gambling. Please do not treat success at our table as practice for, or a prediction of, outcomes anywhere else.
Adults only — 18+
This site is intended solely for people aged 18 and over. If you are younger than 18, please leave the site. Parents and guardians who share a device may wish to use the content filters built into their browser or operating system.
Taking a break
Even a free game can quietly swallow an evening. A few habits help keep it in proportion:
- Decide before you start how long you intend to play, and set a timer on your phone or computer.
- Stop when the timer ends, whether the Keeper has been generous or not.
- Step away for a few minutes every half hour — stand up, drink some water, look at something far away.
- Play when you are rested and in good spirits, not to escape stress, boredom or low mood.
- Notice if you feel the urge to “win back” coins. With a free reset always available, that urge is worth paying attention to.
Signs it might be time to stop
Consider taking a longer break if you find yourself playing for much longer than you planned, feeling irritable when you cannot play, neglecting sleep, work or people around you, or thinking about moving to real-money gambling to recreate the feeling. None of these make you a bad person; they are simply signals worth listening to.
Finding support
If gaming or gambling is causing you concern, you do not have to deal with it alone. Speak with someone you trust, contact your doctor or a local health service, or search for an independent gambling-support organisation in your own country — many offer free, confidential help by phone or online chat. Because Ancient Hockey serves players in many places, we do not point to any single national service here.
You can also write to us through the Support page with any concern about the site itself.
